Social Documentary
I was assigned a task which requested me to document a particular scene or event. This encourage me to utilize the opportunity and document the school to which I attends annual 'sports day'. Through carrying out this task I tried to maintain the idea of my ulteriour intention; when proceeding with this task it's important to only chronicle the on-going events, taking place around me. This idea olbiged me to simply document the 'sports day' event rather than attempt to obtain a maginificent range of photographs to which consisted of appealing amounts of action. Furthermore after the images were captured and I began the editing process I tried to only subtely edit the images to keep their original naturalistic nature. Through-out the documentary project I wished to capture images of all the undertakings. It was not important to me to capture images that commonly deemed to be more significant than others at a sports event (for example, the crossing of a finish line in a race). So instead I made it my obligation to capture all aspects of the event; ranging from the insiginificant and subtle to the seemingly important and conspicuous.
Below, I have presented all the images I had taken of the event; followed up by a series of my favourite images which I have enhanced and edited.

Story Task - Hallucinogenic Reality
I was assigned the task of generating or 'telling' a story through the medium of photographic imagery. Immediately I thought this would be an ideal opportunity to exercise my ability in this fields of digital editing. Therefore I decided to base my story idea on the hallucinogenic experience. Furthermore later on in my work I wish to explore the works of artist such as Leif Podjahsky, whom is widely known for his use of drastic ulteration and abstraction when editing his photographs. In this story, I follow the subject on his recreational journey when experimenting with the narcotic of LSD. As the series of images (or story) progresses so does the level of photographic abstraction; as it is a reflection of the drug induced perceptions of the subject individual. When carrying out this project my main intention was to attempt to create a believable interpretation of the subjects LSD influenced experience. Therefore this encouraged me to be subtle when editing the images, yet also try and create a profound effect.
